I recently attempted to return an item to a seller as it was defective. Delivery was attempted by Royal Mail on the 25th of April, and is currently sitting at the sellers' local Post Office waiting for collection. The seller claimed they didn't get a 'Something for you' card, and stopped replying to my messages on Friday 27th April. Is there anything I can do like contacting eBay, as I'd rather not have it returned back to me. Can anyone help? Thanks.

Did you open a case on eBay or just send it back? Normally if you get an item that is not as described you would open a case in eBay and the seller would have to provide you a return shipping label.
How long has it been since you received the item? if more than 30 days you can't get help from EBay as you have 30 days from when you get the item to return it.
You may have to go to paypal or your credit card company for help.
This is the US eBay site so the rules may be different here. You would want to ask this on eBay UK.

@nick13j You don’t need to post this on the UK site and you don’t need to go through PayPal or your credit card. The seller can’t get out of refunding you. Just contact eBay customer service and have them track the package. They will issue your refund. If the seller doesn’t pick up the item, it will probably be returned to you.

Posting on the UK site will likely get you better answers more suited to your particular situation.
