I recently returned a ring that was grossly misrepresented as antique, it was nearly new, Rose gold, it was sterling silver with yellow gold plating, and rubies, which were fake garnets. When I got the ring, I saw that it was clearly marked "925". Seller claims she didn't know that meant sterling, even though she sells jewelry!. She agreed to a refund. I returned it that same day, and it was delivered on Dec. 17. Ebay now gives her until Dec. 27 to issue a refund??? Why so long? I guess as a seller, I've always refunded promptly, and to me 10 days seems ridiculous.

Did the seller tell you they weren't going to process the refund until Dec 27th?

Seller has 6 business days to issue a refund. Many do it faster, but if they sweep their PayPal account often, sometimes it takes a few days to transfer money from a bank account back to a PayPal account.
Monday is Christmas and there's a weekend involved too. That's why it seems so long.

Yep! The 27th would be within the 6 business days time period.
