Seller, after allowing returns, refused the return when it arrived to their place.

Hi all, I tried to buy a cpu for £499. When it came, the seller sent a £5 s8+ phone case.

So I sent a return back to the seller. After 2 days (28th june) I got a message saying it was refused to be accepted.

Thus, asking what options I have towards dealing with this issue.

Thanks all!

Call eBay and let them know the seller refused.  They aren't allowed to do that.

1. By "after allowing returns" do you @thecoalhole mean that you have an active "return request" open at eBay, and now eBay is just waiting for tracking to show delivered? If so, just open a chat with eBay.

2. And is your seller also in your same kingdom and paid for return shipping, or in another country and didn't send you money for return shipping? Because IF YOU PAID FOR RETURN SHIPPING YOURSELF, eBay holds you responsible for the delivery of the return, and cannot force a refund if the return is not delivered (and your seller likely knows and is taking advantage of that loophole).

Sellers (and buyers) still need to act in good faith to receive the item.  Refusing is generally a slam dunk for the other party for either the original shipment or the return.

2.Not true.If buyer sent to address in accepted return request and tracking shows seller refused package or could not be delivered as addressed buyer gets a full refund.May need to call and point out tracking status to get ebay to force refund
