Seller Protection During Hurricane Harvey

Hurricane Harvey recently hit my area (Houston) very hard.  I ended up not being able to ship for about a week.  The post office in my area is still one of the few that is open and I caught up on my shipping the same day it opened.  I tried to be curteous and let all my buyers know as soon as they paid that there would be a delay in shipping and they were all very understanding.  Then I saw that eBay made an annoucement that they would automatically apply seller protection to those affected by Harvey and my late shipment rate would not suffer and was able to breath a sigh of relief.  Or so I thought...alas, it has suffered greatly as I have been dinged on every item that was late during that time...My area was one of the hardest hit, so I should definitely qualify for this protection.  Just wondering if anyone else is in the same boat?

You may need to call ebay and point out that you're in Houston

Re: Seller Protection During Hurricane Harvey

This was a massive storm , many affected & ebay may not have been able to automatically protect every seller as per the announcement, but the phone number is listed there so your best is to give them a call to get all late shipments adjusted.

Hope you made out ok in the storm , it is going to take a very long time for everything to start to move smooth again, I went through it during super storm Sandy many post offices remained closed for months . This will not get better fast & now we hold our breath for all in FL. or  in Irma's path.

ebay's number is listed in the annoucement
Good Luck
