Seeking Advice on How to Handle a USPS "Delayed" Parcel

Sold & shipped https://www.ebay.com/itm/334210229129 on 11/24/21. Tracking is 9449008205498394866352. It departed 11/26 & has not been seen since. An extensive investigation resulted in USPS stating it is in transit & not lost. Buyer has yet to contact me on the status or seek a refund.

What is the time frame before a package in USPS possession becomes lost & if I purchased postage via ebay - do I need to seek a refund of the postage from ebay? USPS is refusing to do so at the moment because its not lost. Please advise. Thanks!

IMO if the buyer has not contacted you after 43 days,   He or she already received the item.

Has the buyer left feedback for the item?

Have you checked with USPS Treasure Island to see if they have it, since that's the return address?

I did also reach out to buyer with update on the tracking. They never have replied to me. I just hate leaving buyers in limbo when media mail has delivered & updated for all but 1 of my items shipped in 8 business days. USPS loves to claim "You shipped the slowest service possible." as the reason. My counter to them is - yes I purchased a service, with tracking, that you are failing to provide tracking updates upon, like every other modern day carrier with tracking services purchased, provides.

I hope it's not sitting in an empty bag as a single piece item, just tredding water & being found in 6 months or longer.
