Scams?

I recently purchased an item and received a UPS tracking number from the seller. The item was supposedly delivered yesterday, but nothing showed up. Oddly, I also received a refund from the seller BEFORE the item was supposedly delivered, and then received a follow-up e-mail from the seller about leaving feedback. It seemed like an auto-generated message because it said it "had been a while" since I received my order when I had not yet received anything at all. The seller then posted (and deleted) another listing for the same game, only this time they were supposedly located in Las Vegas and not California. When I contacted UPS they stated there was a "mismatch" in the address, which means to me that the seller either sent it to the completely wrong person or never actually sent it at all. It also listed the package as weighing 10lbs...it was a Nintendo Switch game that literally weighs less than 1 lb. I have also found three other accounts that were started around the same time as my seller's account, with comparable feedback and even similar feedback about auto-generated e-mails and incorrect addresses. Has anyone come across this before? I can't figure out why they would give me a refund if they never sent the game in the first place...

That is a strange scenario, haven't heard of anyone getting refunded in that quickly. I'd take the refund and be happy. Sounds like they never shipped and somehow got a different tracking number on your transaction.

OP im going to clarify this below:

You purchased an item and it was delivered by UPS. You got tracking and it said the item was delivered. The seller also refunded you for the item and messaged you about receiving feedback. The package was sent somewhere else according to UPS and that it weighed 10lbs. There were other accounts that had the same issue going on.

So.....I honestly don't know what to tell you. I mean, you got a refund and that's good. I guess just report them and move on
