Does anyone use Stamps.com and if so what has been your experience?

Recommend?  I sell mostly books, clothing, shoes, and jewelry.

Thanks!

Which services are cheaper through them? I thought that they, like eBay, just charge the regular online rates for domestic services.  And Top Rated Sellers get a further 3% discount on Priority Mail postage when purchasing labels through eBay.

I've used them before when I sold on multiple platforms. Now I just use Ebay shipping because this is the only place I sell now.

You get the standard online Commercial Base pricing, for the same as Ebay (unless you get the TRS discount on Priority). You have to buy blocks of postage though, unlike Pirateship where you can buy single use as needed. I loved the ability to print labels throughout the day, then at the end of the day generate one SCAN form to be used for all packages sold across multiple venues.

I never had any issues with them. I used the web version, not the software.  If you sell on multiple platforms you'd probably find things better using stamps.com or Pirateship. If you only sell here, Ebay shipping is just as good.

The easier you are to offend the easier you are to control.

Stamps.com will charge you basically the same as eBay charges. BUT, after their initial free trial, you have to pay a monthly membership fee. So it will actually cost you MORE to use Stamps.com than staying on eBay.

You might want to look into Pirateship.com

First of all there are NO membership or other fees. Generally their rates are the same as eBay.

BUT Pirateship has a "cubic pricing" program that neither the post office nor eBay has. For Priority Mail packages that are LESS than 1/2 of one cubic foot there are some savings. They also have much cheaper first class mail International packages. You are not going to save on every package but you will save on some.

I also use Pirate Ship a lot for items that I don't sell on eBay. As you mentioned their rates are about the same as eBay's plus they have the cubic pricing that eBay does not have. I also don't have to pay a final value fee on the shipping to anyone for the items I sell on other forums.

No.  I've never used anything other than eBay and PayPal directly for personal and Bonz shipping.

pirateship.com They import your orders from ebay and post back the tracking numbers. You can also purchase insurance for both domestic and int'l orders (read the exclusions). You can ask them to sign you up for their export international rate and you get 25-30% cheaper prices than ebay on lighter parcels (up to 4 lbs). Their customer service is outstanding, email replies within 24 hours and a real chat. You can easily reprint your labels if needed and when you are finished you can generate the SCAN form (and easily reprint it if needed). You can use you CC to pay for the labels, earning extra % on your CC purchases.
