SLOW SHIPPING and NO COMMUNICATION

So i purchased 2 expensive items (on the 16th), eBay ETA was on the 20th, but here we are... lets take a look.

1. TUE 16th I purchase 2 items

2. I msg the seller on FRI 19th asking about shipping... his answer was " Shipped out today (tracking #XXXXXXXXX)

3. I checked the tracking number today MON 22nd and he only printed the label, he still have the package.

"August 19, 2022, 11:59 am
Shipping Label Created, USPS Awaiting Item
TALLMAN, NY 10982 
A shipping label has been prepared for your item at 11:59 am on August 19, 2022 in TALLMAN, NY 10982. This does not indicate receipt by the USPS or the actual mailing date"

 

i emailed him yesterday... and again today, no answer at all.

Basically got the stuff thinking that i will receive the item on Saturday, since we only live less than 2 hours away from each other... should i complain with eBay? or wait a little more?

I keep reading negative feedback about almost the same issue, took 4 days to print a label and 2 weeks to ship the item, WTH.

If the last estimated delivery date was the 20th, this is the 22nd, it looks like your package has not been shipped and you are unable to contact the seller, not sure what you're waiting for.

Is that negative feedback that you are reading for this seller? But you didn't read it before making your purchase? Guess that's a lesson learned.

You can wait or you can file  for Item Not Received. DOn't leave any FB until you have your refund or your purchase in your hands.

Sellers with lots of listings who actively use eBay as a source of income are not the same as the occasional seller clearing out stuff.   You can tell by looking at their sold history and how many listings they have.  The later are more lackadaisical about shipping.  I usually give them leeway.

I actually checked the feedback BUT! just the number, 99.2% positive, i didn't think it was going to be that bad, so i did make the purchase, since he also have a huge store, over 10k+ items listed.
Seller responded today and told me only that "Shipped out on Friday" literally, in response to my question did you just printed the label or physically took it to USPS...

He has a physical store, and also works with consignment products, over 10k items listed, thats the reason i purchased, i wasn't expecting this mess.

Contacted my local post master today and he told me "i believe he never dropped the package" but thats his assumption.

Thanks, im going to wait till tomorrow, maybe he did mail it and usps never scanned the box.

Did you physically walk into the post office with the tracking number and talk to a clerk?  Online and using the phone don't always give the best answers. I usually get an answer if I talk to a clerk in person. They can look it up.

I did it in person correct, he did look it up.
Im going to give him till tomorrow to see tracking movement, because it could be he dropped off the package friday, wasn't scanned and it will show up later today, and delivery tomorrow.

I assume he didn't use priority mail, maybe ground shipping.
