MORE to the point be vary wary of the SIZE of the package. UPS, FedEx and to some extent the USPS use the size sometimes more than the weight to determine cost. And not just on oversized packages but even those less than 1 cubic foot.
An 10x10x10 2 pound package will cost more to ship than an 8x8x4 2 pound package even though they are the same weight and both are under 1 cubic foot.
