Royal Mail Postage Purchased via Ebay

Hi All

Apologies if this question has been asked already but as things stand i currently take my orders to the post office and pay for postage at the counter, i understand that i can buy Royal mail postage through Ebay and print a repaid label out and attach it to each item, is this anymore expensive? Would anyone recommend doing this? i currently send about 20 items a day and would just like some advice on how the system works and what are the main advantages etc?

Many Thanks in advance

Hi, This is the discussion board for eBay users in the United States, so the situation in the UK might be different and you should post your inquiry on their discussion board as well.

In the US, sellers get a significant postage discount when purchasing their shipping labels through eBay and I suspect that in the UK it would be the same situation. So of course this system is very popular with sellers.   You could be saving a lot of money by purchasing your labels online.

Sign up for Royal mail OBA....Then register for Royal Mail Click and Drop. Once accounts are linked your orders appear in Royal Mail Account and linked to your eBay site to just print off. Create a manifest and drop all packages off at post office in a sack. Pay your bill weekly by direct debit. Your items will be 2d barcoded to show delivery completed when postie scans and that proof is accepted by eBay...bigger the volume cheaper it is but without discount about same as standard post but tracked too.
