Reversing the printing on used corrugated boxes for shipping

Here is a quick series of pics for those who want to reuse boxes but want the brown cardboard look on the outside with the printing on the inside.  It is pretty simple to do and takes very little time.

-I use wood glue, a piece of wood and a 10 lbs weight.

-Every RSC (Regular Slotted Case) has a manufacturer's glue joint on the corner, some on the inside and some on the outside of the box.

-This joint can be "peeled" or "Popped" apart to allow the box to open flat.

-The box is then flipped over and folded back together applying glue on the manufacturer's glue joint

-I place the piece of wood over the joint then the weight and am done until the glue sets up.

Not a bad suggestion, but I typically don't bother with it.  Most of the labels peel off fairly well, and those that might not, I can slap a blank label over them or cover with the new label, etc.

I have made custom sized boxes though when I didn't have a box that was exactly what I wanted.

I do the same thing, I make small boxes from just one side panel of a large box or from two panels of a box.  For myself, I like the look of a plain brown shipper.  The board on the inside of most used cases looks virtually new which I think adds to the "first impression" a customer has when they receipt their package.

Nothing wrong with that.  I do use a lot of various plain bubble mailers for many of my smaller items, which is also a clean look.  I buy those in bulk packs and keep them on hand.  Listings like my HDDs, I actually keep small foldup boxes that I buy in bulk on hand, the drive gets bubble packed into that box then into the bubble mailer.  To date, every single drive I have sold has arrived in working condition.

That's excellent if you can get shipping supplies in bulk.  I buy rolls of 3/16" small bubble wrap in bulk too, 8 rolls at a shot.  My last purchase wound up being about $ 8.42 per roll delivered.  Not sure if these folks are in your area but here's a link to their website, they are local to us with free delivery:  Ghalys.com bubble wraps

That size bubble wrap they sell in lots of 4 rolls for the best price.  I suspect they buy 48" wide rolls and then put them on a slitter to cut them into 4 rolls 12" wide each.  I've seen that process in industry as well as the folks who make packing tape, same thing, they produce wide rolls and then use a slitter to cut the rolls to 2" and other widths.

I do the same making customer size boxes.  I get too many boxes where the labels do not peel off nice and they rip some of the cardboard.

That appears to be 8x8x8. I can buy those from Uline for 56 cents each. Seems like a lot of work for 56 cents. Or I can get them from eBay for free using my quarterly coupon. Makes it even more productiveless.

I do the same thing, but use a hot glue gun.
