I sold an item and shipped it thru an APO address. Item lost along the way thru USPS. Refunded buyer but now the item is lost forever somewhere. How do I get it back?  Thanks!

Go to the USPS web site and open a help request. If that doesn't work, then open a missing mail case there. Search Missing Mail on their website. If they find it, and it gets delivered, you can file an appeal on eBay.

If your item was insured you can file a claim with USPS.  If your item was shipped via Priority mail you would  have at  least $50 coverage.

When you file a claim with USPS they ask for some proof of the value of the item.  I always just used a screen shot of the sold auction page and had no problem with it.

If it's lost, it's lost, no one knows where it is - and odds are if it does turn up it will get delivered to the buyer unless you pay for them to intercept it.
