Returns

Not sure how this works, new seller just wanted to know how long does one has to wait before a case is closed on a claim to return an item?

How about I have a return case that has never been sold.  The customer wants to buy it but can not.  I have called eBay,  thought they could help but I still have the same issue.  Not sure what to do now?

Returns

No sure what you are asking.

If the buyer filed a Return Request, what was the reason?  Did you approve the return?  Was the prepaid shipping label used within the 5 days allocated?  If not, then you have to go back to the Returns Request and close the case (or Ask ebay to step in) to close the case.  If you have received the return, then you have 2 days to refund the buyer.

Once you have received the item back, then you can Relist the item for the new prospective buyer to purchase.

Like Disney above, I am also confused.

You may be writing that (a) a buyer bought an item, (b) the buyer is having trouble making payment, and (c) the buyer opened a return case, likely for item not received.

If what I wrote above is accurate:

  1. In the return request, simply respond to the request by stating that the buyer did not pay for the item and thus it was never shipped.
  2. The return request should time-out after about 10-15 business days, and it will close.
  3. If it has been 4 days or more since the item was purchased, you can file an "unpaid item claim" with eBay in order to get your eBay fees credited back.
  4. Put the buyer on your blocked buyer's list.
