Returning an item with a different shipping label

I bought an item and ended up having to return to the seller.  The issue is when i received the item, i traveled to another country and was unable to return the item through the USPS mail.  I had to use DHL becasue the country does not have USPS.  However, i would have already entered the USPS tracking number.  How do i change that number to the DHL tracking number?

Only way I know how is by contacting eBay to put it in.

If you don't get a quick enough response from eBay through e-mail, FaceBook or Twitter you should go to the return and hit the button that lets you add a comment to the return. Put the tracking number in there so at least it's on record right away even if it's not the "official" tracking number in the system. Most sellers would be fine with that and refund upon receipt.

Although I just remembered that eBay is now automatically closing returns if there's no tracking movement within a certain amount of time so you really do want to get CS to help with this since transit time internationally will be longer and you don't want the return to close out on you since the system won't see the tracking number you used.
