Returning a Freight Item

I bought a used transmission for my car and halfway through the job my mechanic realizes its the wrong part. I contacted the seller and it turns out that Ebay's automated system listed the part as compatible when it is not.

To return the item Ebay provided a USPS label for an item that arrived on a pallet. Obviously the post office isn't fit for this job but I can't seem to find a way to contact a real person at ebay. The automated help options  only give me the USPS label. The seller got in contact with someone via email but they failed to see the problem with trying to ship a transmission through the mail.

SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP!!!!

You still may have a problem returning it; items returned to the seller on eBay (even in item not as described cases) have to be returned IN THE EXACT CONDITION that they were received in.  If the mechanic was “halfway through “ the job, it would seem probable that they might have altered it from the condition that it was received in?

Beyond that, though, you would probably need to try to contact eBay via social media for this:

Returning a Freight Item

By my mechanic being "halfway through" I mean that he did not notice the differences until he removed the original transmission, at that point the car was on a lift in his shop and was undrivable in that condition so I was forced to buy a new transmission unless I wanted to pay him just to take it apart and put it back together (still broken).

It hasn't been a good autumn,

I'll try to contact them through facebook.

Thank you!
