Return

I am wondering if anyone can advise me on the best way to resolve my issue. I bought some shoes listed as suede for my son. They arrived and are canvas, not suitable. The seller has been sarcastic and making excuses about the material of the shoes. I find the returns process confusing and time consuming! I have started a returns process but don't have a printer. Is there any other way of me getting a refund/ returning goods? I dont know how to print out label if I dont have a printer. I dont want to wait for a refund either, dependant on when the shoes are received back. My son was supposed to be wearing them to school this week, now I'm out of pocket and still need shoes. Its put me off trusting sellers to use an accurate description.

Not sure what is around you, but there are often "office" stores around with tech savvy people who might help you print a label.  I often see people using the computers at the FedEx-Kinkos store when I go in to print a Banner.  There is also a MailBoxes store down the street where I am sure you could print a label.  Also I think there is help available at the Staples or other office supply stores.  Lots of people in business that are good at what they do, but not so good at tech stuff, so those places provide extra services.  Do it the old-fashioned way - call around and see who would be willing to help before heading out!

I think at a some places you could log into your eBay account in the store and print from there. Don't forget to log out before you leave- lol.  Or as OP noted, save the label file to a thumb drive and take that to be printed.

Don't let a rude seller knock you off your game.  Some of these sellers do that so that the buyer will get flustered and fail to return the item and they can keep the money.  Just work through it.  Any questions - just ASK.

Hang in there, you'll get this done!

Since the item is not as described, that is the reason for return when you open a return request.  The seller or eBay provides you with the return label.  You will have to find a way to print that label and return it before the date provided or you will not receive your refund.

Do you have a neighbor or family member or local library that you can go to get the label printed?  This is a required part of the return process regardless of who said what.

Yes, anyone can lie about descriptions of anything when purchasing anywhere online.  The only sure fire guarantee for that to never happen is to go to a B&M store and physically purchase the item.

Ebay's money back guarantee is great and really does protect the buyer from unscrupulous sellers but there is a process to be followed.

Do not forget to leave the appropriate factual feedback for the seller - and yes, that means a negative FB if it is warranted.

maybe you could ask your son for help in saving the file to a thumb drive or whatever is used

you son coud ask a gamer friend or neighbor to help with printing

its just like borrowing a cup of sugar from a neighbor

most people are glad to help with a simple matter like printing a label............but you have to ask

I think your return will be just fine

So you want to keep the unsuitable shoes AND get a refund...that sounds like fraud to me

😆 I never said I want to keep the shoes. I wondered if there was another way of refund because now I'm going to have to wait at least a week. A week after my son needs the shoes. No need for your accusations but you're obviously free to write whatever insane stuff comes to mind on here.

the OP came here for some help...................there is a reason pride is one of the 7 deadly sins

maybe the buyer has a hard time asking for help.............many people do

I think maybe the buyer just wants to get the shoes back and is genuinely stuck on a label

Thanks, yes, I will have to ask around. Son is only a kid and we are having to socially distance still where we live so a bit difficult. It is the answer though to get it printed 👍

Thankyou for your help. Lock down is making this more challenging or the library would be my choice, its all closed. I will have to work out how to use my email return slip to print out on someone else's printer. I have challenges using technology but will learn from this.

If you paid with a credit card, whether directly at eBay Checkout or through PayPal @butla.2014 safely contact your card issuer socially distanced and file a chargeback for Defective or Not as Described.

It's already documented that you've attempted and was insulted in return to return the goods. The return policy is simply irrelevant now. You will get a provisional refund the same or the next day, even on weekends, to buy another pair.

And then it's up to the seller to retrieve the goods at their own expense, regardless you don't have a printer, e.g. UPS brings a printed label when the merchant issues a Call Ticket to pick up a package, and hands you a receipt.
