I have returned an item under a seller's return policy, so I used eBay's label with the payment for the label coming out of my paypal. I noticed it was taking quite a bit to be delivered, so I just checked the tracking and it says delivery was attempted last Wednesday, 10/4, and I need to arrange for redelivery by 10/18 or the item will be returned to my on 10/19. I have no idea why this item wouldn't have been delivered. Do I simply put in the request for redelivery? Contact the seller to ask them? Contact the PO? Wanted to ask here if anyone has encountered that status so I can choose the most efficient course of action. Thanks in advance!

Call Ebay, tell them that you have a return pending and that an attempted delivery was made. The seller has yet to pick up their package. See if they will go ahead and close out the return in your favor and refund you. If that package gets returned to you, the seller can have the case closed out in THEIR favor and you won't be refunded (since you have the item)
This is my advice, but be warned, I'm not very familiar with returns so you may want to wait and see what other replies you get.

Since you still have some time before they will return the item to you, I would email the seller and let them know the item is at their post office, and they need to pick the item up asap. And if there is somewhere you can schedule (on the usps website maybe?) a redelivery, I would do so.
If you haven't heard back from the seller by Saturday (10/15), then I'd call eBay and have them view the tracking to see if they can refund you and close the case, before the item shows coming back to you.
