Return question (from the buyer's side) Where is the label?

I bought a loveseat cover, the seller sent a chair cover. Okay... stuff happens. Seller has free returns. I open a return for wrong item sent, which was auto-accepted. Seller has to send a label by today, 8 April. The return still says "Get ready to send the item back. You should receive a return label by April 08, 2020.

I don't see a label or a link to a label.  Am I missing something somewhere, or has the seller just not bothered to send one? This is a US seller with over 40k feedback and  99.8%. I would think it strange for the seller to not send the label, but with things the way they are today I'm not sure what to think, or do.

I've never had to return anything, so this is all new territory for me.

Thanks in advance for your replies 🙂

I had the same exact thing happen to me awhile ago. What you'll have to do eventually, is have eBay step in and help. Send them an email and explain your situation, they will tell you exactly when you can have them step in and help. It might be either this Sunday or Monday.

April 8th isn't over for another 5.5 hours in San Jose.......it's also says "should" not "will".

I would make a guess that the seller may have picked the "I will send a label myself" choice because if eBay was "sending" I would think it just says "here's your label, you have x (5?) days to use it".

I don't know the answer but if the seller is supposed to send a label themselves they only have x days to do, if they don't confirm by uploading a tracking number the case might close in your favor with a refund and no requirement to return.

The only return I've had since eBay started their label thing I chose to send the label myself and would always do it that way (of course I would actually send it immediately).

eBay is (the eBay bot is) on top of it, so a few minutes after midnight eBay time tonight, eBay will either issue a return label (at no cost to the seller) or add a page for you to ask eBay to step in:

eBay Looks like delay with shipping label Ask us to step in.jpg

which will force a return label (at severe costs to the seller).
