Return and Refund

What to do when a seller keeps trying to negotiate when you have been approved for a return.   He sent me First class shipping labels TWICE and my post office told me that the shipping labels had to be PRIORITY for what I was sending back.  When I wrote the seller back and told him this, he started trying to negotiate and I have been getting the run around with this buyer for the past week, and I AM SO TOTALLY FRUSTRATED.  Why won't he just send the first-class labels and let me ship his merchandise back to him and get my money back?  Extra annoyed.

Put the first class label on the package and drop it in the bin rather than taking it to the counter ... 99% of the time, the package will get back to the seller and the Post Office will correct the postage due.

If you drop your First-Class Return Service label in a blue bin, there is a chance it might bounce back, your very vigilant seller will escalate the case, and you will have no path forward when eBay closes the case without a refund.

I requested a return and I received a first class shipping return label. Anyway I printed it out with the packing slip and went to the post office to ship it. Due to this epidemic the lady at the window told me to drop it in the bin so I did.

As I tracked the package the next couple of days I noticed that the item was not moving out of my town. On the 4th day I received an alert that my package was delivered back to my house. There is no way you can ship an item over 2 lbs via 1st class. You need a priority label.

As soon as it was delivered to my house the seller opened a case to get ebay involved. An hour later ebay closed the case in the sellers favor. They said I didn't deliver the package in the required time frame.

Whenever you have a seller that's super interested in a return, it's best to get eBay involved. Send a private message to eBay via Facebook or Twitter and include your name, email, and zip code.

Let's get some clarification on that to be sure.

Return and Refund

Did you file a Returns Request through ebay?

If the seller accepted the return and issued a prepaid shipping label through ebay, it will be a First Class Parcel Return Service (I think that is what it is called) which is good for up to 70 pounds.  In the past the buyer had 5 business days to return the item, but it has been extended due to the pandemic.
