For returns where the seller pays eBay to generate a return label for the buyer to use,
Where can the seller see the tracking number generated?
Is it better to make your own label for them via Endicia, Pitney Bowes, Ship Station, etc., so you know?
The reason I am asking is if something is my fault and the buyer ships, once I see acceptance, I am personally fine with refunding some of the time for buyers whom I get a good vibe about.

You are free to use your own judgement in refunding buyers. That said, we have seen enough problems sellers have posted about, such that it seems like the standard advice is - wait until the item is returned and in your hands before issuing a refund.
I could drop a return package at the USPS with my address on it and then you see the acceptance scan and refund me and I get both the package and money. How are you going to force me to return the item? Maybe I ship it to my Aunt Millie in Seattle as I'm headed out there in a couple of weeks?

Where can the seller see the tracking number generated?
It will be in the case notes. Check Returns in your Seller Hub. And do not refund until your item is back in your hands.

I was falsely under the impression you could tell the destination a package was sent to on thr usps website.
I thought you could prefix the tracking number starting with 9 and add 420 and the destination zip, but apparently, it does not read those digits for validity.
Is there anyway to check the destination zip-code of a package in transit wirh USPS?
