I'm still wrangling with my return to a seller after they failed to ship my order and just duplicated a tracking # so that it would have a "delivered" status. Item was shipped out and went out for delivery to the return address today but the delivery failed with a status of "NO ACCESS." My question is what do I do from here? I also don't seem to be the only buyer who's had this problem over the past few months so I don't really trust whoever runs the shop at all. Is there any way to actually reach out to eBay for help? I've followed every avenue for contacting them that has been suggested but they all just take me back to the help homepage and suggest that I file a claim to work it out with the seller, who wouldn't even provide me with a return label themselves (eBay had to step in and send one to me on their behalf). In all honesty, I doubt that the seller really has any intention of accepting the return. 😕

eBay considers "No access" the same as Delivered.
Send a private message (include your name, email address, and zip code) to eBay on Facebook or Twitter and ask eBay to look at the tracking. If necessary, create a social media account for the sole purpose of contacting eBay; you're not going any further with it.
When you do, eBay will instantly force a refund; the seller does not have the usual 5 business days to inspect the return before a refund.

There's no clock to run out: A seller cannot avoid a refund by avoiding the delivery of the return.
eBay on Twitter is 7 days a week 6 am to 6 pm PT, likely the same on Facebook, although the blues say it's 24 hours. They are taking about a day to handle messages right now, example: Message on Monday at 11 pm PT (after hours) was handled on Wednesday at 5 am PT (before hours) about 30 hours later.

Got a response from eBay. The seller is now asking me to close the return even though the tracking info shows that the package is still at the post office after two failed delivery attempts and they never offered a refund though.
DO NOT CLOSE IT

So now eBay is telling me to go pick up the return package myself, from the seller's post office which is several hundred miles away from me. This is honestly just driving me crazy. Amazon is evil but I might just want to do business with the devil if it helps me avoid this sort of a clusterf**k...
What the actual....????
Make sure that they understand that the package is NOT at your PO, it is at the SELLER'S PO, which is hundreds of miles away. There has to be a miscommunication on that fact. Surely the reps aren't that stupid...
@Anonymous
Sounds like someone needs some coaching if what the OP is saying is accurate.

If you have your refund, then the transaction is done. Glad it worked out, but what a pain.

It looks like they reopened my original claim against the seller, summarily re-decided in my favor and issued a full refund. So at least that's over...
Aargh, if a closed case was reopened, then it sounds like you got a courtesy refund, and your seller (unaware of your refund) got to keep your original payment.
But yes, at least that's over.
