I recently shipped a item to a buyer who paid and claims they did not recive the item. However, I always double check the name and adrress and because I do not purchase addintioal shipping I think they have taken advantage of me as they claim they have not recived it, and request a refund. Is there anything I can do to protect myself? They say "surely it was a small mistake lost in the mail" and demand for a full refund. I belive they are holding the item and trying to cheat me... what should I do to protect myself? Thanks
-In case I am forced to give a refund, paypal has already taken a cut and ebay wants their share. Do I need to extra pay all that?
-I do know that I would eaily be able to back up my case with tracking details, but I did not purchase them as the person resides near me...I have been selling many items and this has never happened before.

Without tracking there is nothing you can do to protect yourself. Refund and decide if shipping without tracking is in your best interests.
