Hey, so I'm returning something of considerable value, and I left the package out in the mailbox for the usps truck to pick up. After 3 days, it's not showing up as being recieved by the postal service. I was wondering if this was something that just happens occasionally, and that my package is in the right hands. Needless to say, I'm getting pretty anxious.

Yes, it does happen sometimes. Have you tried contacting your mail carrier or local post office? You might sleep better if someone can confirm it was picked up.

Probably would be a good idea, I’ll to that tomorrow

Probably stolen.

Well that is a leap. Sellers are always complaining that USPS doesn't scan their stuff upon pick up way too often. I'd try that route first before assuming it was stolen. Certainly it could have been, but it is more likely the carrier didn't scan it. And I certainly hope that is the case for the OP.

I was afraid of that myself, but it was scanned in Arkansas overnight. Alls well!

EXCELLENT news and it is wonderful to also hear it was not stolen. Hopefully everything else goes smoothly for you.

I meant to post this yesterday--- I wanted to share that the last time I put a package in the blue mail box, there were no tracking scans until the package reached the buyer's city. Glad your package was scanned over night!

On stuff like that its better to take it to the post office, especially if it was pricey.
If it would have never gotten scanned he could have said he didnt get it and you
would get no refund.
