Is there a way to restrict shipping to PR and Hawaii only on certain items? I offer free shipping and I get a lot of orders to ship there and I don't mind, except for the heavier items which I only want to offer to mainland US.
Is this possible or is it all or nothing with Ebay?

May I ask the problem with shipping larger items to PR and Hawaii? If it's shipping cost just build it into your price.

You can do 'exclusions' to 'exclude' those locations by just editing the item and doing it manually- item by item.

Yes when you are creating a listing you can uncheck shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, and PR.

The problem is some items have shipping costs that are too high to "risk" the extra cost to PR, Hawaii or Alaska. Such as items that need UPS shipping. Too heavy/large to ship USPS.
I omit Hawaii, Alaska and PR from purchasing by using a business shipping policy to ship by UPS only and blocking PR, Hawaii and Alaska.

It is cost prohibitive to ship heavier and/or large items outside the lower 48 states.

On heavier items I just have the buyer pay the shipping cost so whatever the difference is the buyer pays. Smaller items especially free shipping I just build it into the price. The cost to Puerto Rico and the cost to Florida is actually the same. I just think certain sellers worry to much about this. Everyone has the right to do what they want but shipping to Hawaii or Puerto Rico isn't usually an issue.
