I have noticed that the rerstocking charge for listings has been removed. Does this mean we can no longer charge sellers a restocking charge?
I just sold an expensive item over $3000.00 Spoke with the buyer over the phone and he asked if there are retunes, I said no, I prefer you make sure the item you are purchasing the item you need as I'm a one man operation and returns waste time. He says I understand, let me measure mine and I'll call you back with the dimension to make sure and I said ok. I measure the unit I have and call him back with the dimension he ask for, with the unit in front of me. He says yes that is the same as mine and ask me to measure another part of the item, I do so and again he said yes this is the say part as mine. I'll make the purchase he says. He does make the purchase item is sent to him and wouldn't you know it he calls and emails back saying this does not fit what I have. He says mine has on the surface ACT 4 SN and the one he purchased from myself has ACT 5 SN and it clearly shows this in the listing pictures. Now he is asking for a return but I noticed that the restocking charge is no longer in the listing. I double checked this with trying to list another item and sure engough the drop down window in the section shipping and returns is no longer there. Before you had the option of 10, 15 and 20% restocking charge. So what is going on, did I miss some new update that ebay mentioned or sent out to sellers regarding this and I missed it, or am I the only lucky one???
I'm so tied of dealing with returns especially is this situation where the buyer and I spoke on the phone giving out specific demensions for fit and this happens. Absolutely ridiculous.
