Response to question...when will my item be delivered

With all of the shipping delays, I am getting a lot of "when will my item be delivered" messages.  Some people have messaged me 10+ times.  It is very stressful.  I shipped the day they ordered.    I am sharing email updates with buyers (copy and paste, not signing them up).  I am doing all I can.  I have prioirty packages taking 8or more days.  This isn't my choice... I want their items to be delivered too!  What are you saying to your buyers?  What happens if we get negatives over this?

Due to so many late packages and customers complaining we've started today messaging all new orders that USPS is having delays due to depleted staffing because of Covid and the increased holiday volume so their order may be take longer than Ebay's estimated times and if the delay is a problem to let us know and we'll cancel and refund them as we can't do anything once they've shipped. So far everyone seems fine with it. I think if people have it spelled out ahead of time they at least know what they're getting into so they really can't complain. Well - hopefully at least.

I had several cancellations because buyers didn't like that the estimated date was wrong.  Unfortunately many of these sales came before the slow down started.  My biggest problem is any packages headed through Cincinnati, sitting there for 4-5 days.  Priority packages too!  I message them and tell them I am getting email updates from the USPS and I pass them along, but some still complain!  I'm doing my best, but I'm a mess right now.  I wasn't built to handle this much stress every day!  I still have 1st class pages from November 30 floating around and priority packages from Dec 2 still floating around.
