Requested to return or get missing piece

Bought an item and it shipped to me quickly. Opened it up and find a piece is missing so I open a return request. Basically I either want a refund and I’ll send it back or get the piece that’s missing. Seller said they would send the missing piece, later sent a message that they need to to close the return request because it won’t let them print a label until I do. What do I do?

DO NOT CLOSE THE RETURN until you are made whole.  If you do, you will get nothing through eBay and will have to resort to Paypal or your credit card.  

I personally would just return it for my money back and start over..

Remind them that they can buy a label through PayPal. Don’t close the request. If they don’t ship the replacement in a couple days, ask eBay to step in & get your money back.
