Removal of Phone Number from Shipping Labels

Hello,

I see that my phone number appears on my shipping labels when I ship to a customer. I know that shipping entities like UPS and FedEx require you to have a phone number, but what about privacy issues? I do not wish to be contacted outside of the eBay platform about customer issues. Serious privacy issue. Suggestions?

Go to your Account Settings/Personal Info/Addresses. Choose which (or all) of the addresses to edit and make the change(s). Good luck.

No I don't want them calling me directly. They should be contacting through the ebay platform so it's on record and in case it gets nasty, you don't want them harassing you by phone.

I updated my shipping address and put in eBay's customer service number in that field.

Why would you put an essentially defunct number with your shipping address @buy_and_sell_abroad? The phone number is only there in case a carrier has a delivery question and needs to call.

If you don't want to provide your number then get an alias from Google Voice. Using eBay CS number would be a bad idea if it was still active, but it's an even worse idea since the number hasn't been active for two years.
