Hello, I have a problem with the seller, to whom I have returned a comp.monitor with an error. He refunded me money for the monitor, but not the shipping costs when buying and returning which is ruffly around 55 euro. Any suggestions on how to retrieve this money? Thank you!

1. FYI this is an eBay community site for US sellers/buyers. So our policies maybe be different than yours than yours. You are in Malta close to my father 's homeland, Bari, Italy.
2. Did you .......
a.)...... buy this item from a US seller? If not where was the seller? If the seller lives in another country than Malta I would think it would be difficult for the seller to buy postage from a Malta shipper- but maybe that EU thing y'all have makes it possible - not familiar with it.
b.) ..... open an Item Not As Described case prior to shipping the monitor back? If you didn't you maybe out of luck. In the US, buyers are protected by the eBay Money Back Guarantee but the buyer must open a case. Do you have such a program? If yes, look up the policy and read what your policy states.

Good day, I have a problem with one of your dealers, he does not want to cooperate. I bought a monitor that has an eBay warranty. The transaction for the purchase of the monitors' prize was 221.39 euros. The monitor has arrived defective. The seller did not want to cooperate and bear the costs of return.I returned not working monitor and I had to pay the shipping costs of 34 euros. Now I have received an email from PayPal that the seller will return me only 206.49 euros. If I have an eBay guarantee. Is it possible that the seller doesn't want to pay a refund fee and return only 206.49 euros, but he needs to return me 221.39 euros plus 34 euros for the shipping fee which end up to 255.39 euros? Please help me to solve this problem with your seller so that he can return the full amount of 255.39 euros. I also have a problem with eBay, there is no contact, email or phone to tell them my problem. I do not know what this is about, I'm a little surprised with this approach to customers. Otherwise, it is a premium seller and the purchased driver has an eBay warranty. Thank you for your understanding.

This is a forum for ebay members, not ebay employees. If you have a problem with your order, open a return request via ebay stating that the item is defective. The seller will have to refund the shipping and the item cost.

Please respond to the questions I've asked - like Did you open a Not As Described case for the item you purchased????. I am not fully aware of all the policies eBay may have for your region. Possibly you have a tab on your home page called Help & Contact- See if this will give information on how to contact eBay for your region.

You will probably get better advice by bringing this matter up on one of the EU boards.

I have never heard of anything being sold on eBay with an "eBay warranty." Are you talking about eBay's MBG?

If the refund was less than you paid maybe the difference was the exchange rate and the PayPal conversion fee they initially added to the item cost. The buyer is responsible for those fee conversions.
Did the item cost include the cost of a Squaretrade or Assurant warranty?
If so, you need to go to Squaretrade or Assurant to cancel it. Here's the info for a Squaretrade warranty. Log in to www.squaretrade.com or contact Us toll-free at 1-877WARRANTY (1-877-927-7268) 24 hours a day, 7 days week. If you cancel this Protection Plan within the first thirty (30) days after purchase of this Protection Plan you will receive a 100% refund of the Protection Plan Price.
Refunds- When a refund is made the seller can't add the return shipping. If they're going to refund you for the return shipping they have to send that in a separate payment. Have you sent them a REQUEST for the shipping cost through PayPal? (PayPal invoice) Try that. You'll need their name or email address. Then go to PayPal and hit REQUEST. Then if they don't send the shipping money you could try opening a case on PayPal for the return shipping.
More about returning an International purchase-
This is in the MBG policy Q&A's.
Q: "I see an item from an International seller that I want to purchase. What if I need to return it?"
A: "International returns cannot be fully handled through the standard eBay returns process at this time. It's best to contact the seller directly if you have any questions about their return policy."
eBay's return process is you request to return the item through My eBay Purchase History-Return the item, or you file a not as described case in the Resolution Center. eBay or the seller will then provide a DOMESTIC return label. The label is charged to the person responsible for the return. International labels can't be provided. The seller has to send you shipping money UP FRONT. If the return shipping $ wasn't provided you ask eBay for help. Understand they can't force the seller to send you return shipping money but if they know the seller isn't providing it they sometimes go ahead and refund and not require you to return the item. I'm sorry you didn't come here first. We would've told you to get the return $ up front or ask eBay for help.
Maybe your seller will still come through with the shipping after they get the PayPal Request.
