Refund to a GreenDot or PayPal

Hello,

I have recently bought an item with a GreenDot debit card, and seller canceled the item, because of sending the wrong item. I It says that my full refund was sent to PayPal email that is in my username, but basically, this PayPal doesn't exist. So where did the money go? Where should I be expecting it? GreenDot or non-existing PayPal? Thanks

"It says that my full refund was sent to PayPal email that is in my username . . . "

I'm not 100% sure what this statement means, but refunds will appear on your original funding source; i.e., if you paid with a GreenDot debit card, the refund will appear on your GreenDot debit card. This can happen very quickly or can take several days.

Paypal is the card processor.  That is the reason you got an email from them about the refund.

Your refund SHOULD be credited back to your original form of payment within 7 days.
