I returned an item for not being as described (phone case did not fit my phone). The seller has been giving me major attitude, just being a complete POS. I left negative feedback because of this. He received my return, and he claims he will refund me in 2 days. What if he (the seller) claims I sent him the wrong item? Im concerned he might because he seems to be very mad that I returned it. Will I still get my refund?

At face value, the seller will refund you in 2 days. If the seller doesn't react, eBay will force the refund in 2 days.
You'll get your refund. Hang in there!

The buyer used to have to return the package by 5 days and the seller had 2 business days to refund. Since COVID-19 the timeline has changed. The buyer has 10 days to return and the seller has 6 business days to refund after tracking shows delivered. If the seller fails to refund within 6 days from the delivered scan you have 10 days to ask eBay to force the seller to refund.

The buyer has to refund by the deadline or you can escalate with eBay and they will refund a few minutes later.
eBay will suspend a sellers account faster for "cases closed without seller resolution" than if the seller is outright ripping off customers.

Sorry, during Covid-19 the seller has 5 business days to refund.
