Ref# on ESE? Is it edittable in template, how to edit? Add info?

Hello,

Looking to be able to add info (inventory pick list info to assist in picking items), into the Ref# section on the ESE shipping label.  I see the Tracking# and below it is a field 'Ref#' - wondering what it is called in the eBay template so that I can add/edit info to it, or is this even possible?  I have SKU's on my template, but they arent transferring to that specific 'Ref#' field.   Any help would be greatly appreciated - thanks !!

If memory serves, the ref # is just the listing number.

My suggestion is to generate a pick list which will pull in your custom SKU.

You can generate a pick list either through seller hub > orders page under actions, or you can do it on the bulk labels page. Let me know if you need help finding it.

The listing number is not being transposed into that field either - it is completely blank.  Wondering if anyone knows what it would be labelled under in the template, many fields in there, maybe its one of them?   Thanks

I don't have any sales from today that qualify for ESE for me to mess around with it.

It's possible with the ESE label format they can't / won't pull in custom text.

I'm looking at the label page for a regular package service and there's an option to "add custom text on label" and that's pre-filling the Custom SKU.

There used to be a ref# option and that would add the listing number to the label.

I'm wondering if the ref # on ESE is there in error.

There is no field on the listing form for a ref #.

Scroll to the bottom of the label purchase page below the options and you'll find 'custom text' under 'additional options'. When checking the box the item number was pre filled for me:

There's also this pop up when you use the edit link from the bulk label page. The drop down includes item id and custom. Hope these are what you need.

I dont recall seeing that before, maybe the back end techs snuck it it on me 😉
