Red Mark,.... 'Ship is past due, .... What do I need to do?

Hello:

I shipped the package out from Post Office right after having received Payment via PayPal,  However, due to  'misrouted' package, it took almost 2 and an half week to reach to the buyer.

I e-mailed the buyer twice regarding 'delayed delivery' due to this, ... 'misrouted.'  However, today, I saw the following message below the items the buyer purchased.

eBay note: Ship by Friday, May 12. Ship now—past due.

My question is:

Does this mark affect my selling ?  I contacted Post Office and USPS web-site to get the package delivered sooner and it was very frustrating experience ever had since starting to sell items on eBay. 

Should I contact eBay for this to remove, ... or what else should I do with this mark?

As long as you uploaded a tracking number when you mailed the package, no problem. Or just mark the transaction shipped and ignore the note.
