Today when i went into my ebay, i saw 1 message there...Needless to say it was
from ebay with giving suggestions on certain things...I am sure a lot of you received
the same thing....I was starting t read it all when it came to shipping. Down the
bottom of the screen , there was a box that stated
" List for free and see how easy it is to sell.."
****************************************************************************
Needless to say i clicked on that and low behold in there was a sentence stating
" Turning your once-loved items into cash is as simple as find, list, and ship. Below,
you’ll find an overview of the process and see just how easy it is. And remember,
listing is always FREE*! " Listing is not always FREE. Please view the charges.

Number 3 stated Give buyers a choice of shipping..
Attract more shoppers by allowing buyers to choose the shipping service that works
best for them. ." What a load of baloney!!! "
Ebay insists on tracking being included so what happens when the buyer does not want it included
and wants the package shipped cheaper??...Ebay has always stated that if a package does
not have tracking then the seller is to blame if something goes wrong whilst in transit .
NO IFS AND NO BUTS.
*******************************************************************************************
Personally i think there is a double standard here and ebay has to rethink what they are going
to place in their rulings. Either they want the seller to include tracking and let them sleep
well at night or give the seller the benefit of the boubt and not insist the sellers are guilty
before anything is shipped. That also allows buyers to say it was never received so they
get a full refund, have the item as well and leave negative feedback to unsuspecting sellers.
*******************************************************************************************
My comments here will possibly be erased as it is not what ebay wants to hear but in the
time it is up there, it may have reached some sellers.

Why would Ebay remove your post? Ebay doesnt monitor the boards, Lithium does.

YOU, the seller, choose what shipping options you give the buyers. If you don't want to ship without tracking, you don't offer a method that doesn't have tracking.
Seller offers shipping methods that work best for him. Buyer gets to choose which of those methods work best for him. Buyer doesn't get to choose any method that is not offered by the seller.
Why get so enraged by SUGGESTIONS offered by eBay? If you know better, then just ignore them. A little common sense goes a long way. It's bulk email, not something that is personalized to any given seller. No need to take it personally.

Perhaps not for the scammers and the dishonest.
Good luck selling.

If one does not obey the suggestion ebay states, then if it goes astray in the mail, then ebay will not back the seller in any way as the seller did not follow their ( ebays ) rulings...So now every package has to have tracking , every package has to be scanned and sent to the buyers via ebay messages...This is mainly so ebay has it on record and if the buyer places a false adress in the details, then i am not to blame as i was just copying what was listed in the buyers details on the buyers account. NEVER...AND I MEAN NEVER send to a 3rd party that the buyer wants you to do so. The buyer only wants to save on shipping costs but by ebay laws, you did not send it to the exact adress in the buyers account so if it goes astray, the seller is totally to balme...

"Make more sales by offering free shipping and free returns"
...there's some quality information for you.
