I sold an item yesterday morning. Within an hour, I went to make a label, and there was a message on the page from Ebay saying "Invalid addresss, change".
I sent the buyer a message telling him that, and to please check it and change it, but no response.
What now? Do I send it, and see what happens? Cancel, using problem with address? I would imagine it is a simple spelling error somehow, but want to make sure I protect myself, along with saving the sale. I need to do something today, being friday, and having to meet the shipping metrics, ect.
How would you proceed? Thanks!

Since you haven't heard back from the buyer and you would need to ship it today, it might be best to cancel using problem with address. The buyer can correct the address through eBay and PayPal and buy it again after you relist it.

Go here: https://tools.usps.com/zip-code-lookup.htm?byaddress
Enter the address, see what comes up. The address has to be in the correct USPS format. If it's not, you CAN correct it, as long as the pertinent info is the same - house address, box number, zip code, etc.

Thanks for that link. I tried the address, and every variation with spacing, ect, and it won't come up there. I guess I will just have to cancel, and hope they correct it and repurchase. Thanks for the help guys!

The post office can be real inconsistent. For example they will not accept "St Louis" insisting on "Saint Louis".
BUT they will not accept "Saint Petersburg" insisting on "St Petersburg"
Sometimes the "invalid" is that simple and unobvious.
