Hi,
I sent a return, but did not through ebay. I just contacted the seller and sent it back. I have proof it got there, but my question is where does the refund go back to? I paid with my debit card through Paypal. I am assuming it would go back to my checking account through my debit card. I have not seen anything in the checking account, so I am just wondering if this is how it works. Have not had to return anything in a long time.
Thanks. Janine

Refunds go back to the funding source.
Since you did not go through ebay, I will assume the seller located the transaction in Paypal, scrolled half way down and clicked on ISSUE A REFUND. iT SHOULD SHOW UP IN YOUR CHECKING ACCOUNT.

You looked at your bank account but did you check your Paypal account?

Even though you did not go through eBay for the return, your seller would still cancel the transaction at eBay to get their FVF credit and refund your payment from wherever it was funded (your seller isn't aware that you "paid with my debit card through Paypal").
And though you haven't seen your refund yet at your checking account, log in to PayPal and find that transaction to see if it shows a "Refund".
