I recently sold an item and specifically stated in my listing that I do not accept returns. About a month later, the buyer decides to open a case on me through PayPal saying that I did not accept her return. I provided PayPal a screenshot with the statement underlined that said I do not accept returns. Am I in the wrong?

Sorry but there is no such thing as no returns. When you say no returns on a listing you are telling the buyer they don't have to return the item, but you still have to give them a refund.

If you plan to sell on this platform than you need to read the TOS to understand exactly how returns work on here. This platform offers a MBG to every buyer so your own written restrictions are superseded by eBay's policies. If this was a buyer's remorse case you would have had some protections but no seller can simply say no to a refund. You will lose the case in PP and buyer will be refunded plus get to keep the item now. Please spend some time reading up on the policies so you will know how to handle better in the future. Best of luck to you....

Did the buyer first attempt to open a return request through eBay?
What kind of case was filed through PayPal? Was it a not as described case through PayPal or was it a credit card chargeback that came through by way of PayPal?
If it was a credit card chargeback, what's the official reason chosen for the chargeback?

Hi, you need to bone up on the ramifications of cases. It is not about who is right or wrong. It is about keeping buyer's happy. Thus there is no such thing as "no returns" on eBay when a buyer opens a case, be it thru eBay or PayPal. The eBay Money Back Guarantee and the PayPal Purchase Protection program both trump a seller's terms. Sellers tacitly agree to this when they list their first item.
Below are links to the PayPal PP program (and eBay MBG).

Really no such thing as "no refunds". EBAY money back guarantee allows refund if customer states "not as described or defective". BUYER does not need any proof and EBAY always sides with BUYER.
Better to allow refunds otherwise customer's only option is to lie and say "not as described" which will cost you more money because SELLER gets stuck paying return shipping.
