The last time I needed help, the buyer had requested a refund because I hadn't listed the measurements in my listing. I received the pants back and they were the correct measurements according to the manufacturer tag so the buyer saw the opportunity for the refund and took it. With the advice you all have given me, I try to make sure the measurements are in the listing and any details aren't left out. Which brings me to this new problem..... I sold a pair of jeans last week. The buyer just opened a return request stating that the item doesn't match the description. She said the color of the jeans in my photo don't match the actual color, she was expecting a light pair. The first photo shows a dark pair of jeans, the second photo shows the butt part which I used a flash and made them look a bit lighter. The other photos following those are all dark colored. I wrote in my description that they were a dark wash. So now once again, I called eBay and they said that because of the way she opened the request, I am once again at their mercy to refund her money. I don't understand why we are responsible for refunding their shipping and the shipping to get the item back? Its like a double whammy! I also don't understand if we say we don't accept refunds why they can go against our preferences and do this? And as I'm complaining, can I also throw in that I don't think its right that we have to pay a final value fee on shipping. Can I get your feedback so I know if I'm just straight off the wall crazy on this subject or if anyone has had similar problems.

Because e bay is e bay we sellers are at the mercy of the MBG. If the buyer claims SNAD then you can either pay to get the item back or refund and let them keep the item .

Nope. NO seller protection on e bay at all. The number one rule is to NEVER EVER NEVER list something you cannot afford to give away.
Most peeps on here are upfront and honest.
