Question about shipping with USPS Media Mail

Hi there,

I recently sold a VR Headset through eBay. When I went to pay for the shipping, USPS Media Mail came up as a valid shipping option. Upon researching if I could ship the Headset through Media Mail, nothing came up, so I figured I'd ask here. Has anyone shipped a VR Headset through USPS Media Mail, or knows if I could or not?

Thanks.

Question about shipping with USPS Media Mail

The headset is not eligible for Media Mail shipping.

Just because a shipping method is available, doesn't mean that it's "valid."  It's your responsibility to know whether your item meets the USPS criteria. Here's a handy reference chart that USPS put together for staff reference:

And here's the main list of what IS eligible, in the manual:

Listen to @nobody*s_perfect  as they are the USPS shipping rules Guru around these parts!

Plus if you get "caught" using the wrong method at the USPS Automated processing, they will 'upgrade' the package for you and back charge you.  So you could get a nasty charge when they upgrade it to Priority Mail!

If they are under 15.99 ounces ship them via USPS First Class Package, buying an eBay label and NOT at the retail counter!  (where the FCP limit is 13 oz!)
