Question about shipping options and auctions? Help?

I have set two shipping options on my auction. Can the buyer, at the end of the auction, choose between the two shipping options? Thank you!

Yes if you have more than one listed.  Ebay often comes up with the lowest cost selected and the others listed below it and they can be chosen by the buyer too.

Question about shipping options and auctions? Help?

Buyers are not always shown both of your options.  eBay has a policy of (1) always showing the first option you listed but (2) only showing other options if they are cheaper or faster.  So if you offer both First Class and Priority, and if eBay's estimated delivery dates are the same for both services, then the buyer will only be shown the First Class option.  Whereas if you offer both Media Mail and Priority Mail for a book, the buyer will almost certainly be shown both options. When the auction ends, the buyer will be able to choose from whatever shipping option(s) was shown to them in our listing.

Question about shipping options and auctions? Help?

     Yes the buyer can select the shipping option. However, when I actually get ready to ship the item I will look at all the options available given the variety and if I can ship the item via a cheaper method without impacting delivery time I will do so. If the savings is substantial over $1, and sometimes it is, I will send the item the cheaper route, let the buyer know and refund the excess postage. For example sometimes it is cheaper and just as expedient to ship items in a flat rate envelope, regional box (A or B) or other flat rate method, than it is to ship the item Priority mail or parcel select.

     I did ship 58 pounds of casting lead in a USPS medium flat rate box one time. Box went from Virginia to Colorado. The post office loved that one.

@robbins611

If you have 2 options the buyer can choose either. As long as they are applicable. When you show 2 the first one in your list will be the one that comes up in search results.

With shipping from Canada I always offer several services based on the type/value/weight of the item. That way buyers can compare. Trying to use flat rate shipping does not work for me. Too many variables involved.
