Hi, I'm new to selling on EBay and have a question about listing some CD's and DVD's. Since EBay no longer offers media mail shipping labels, would I receive a black mark from EBay if I do the following:
List the price of my CD as a large enough amount to cover the CD and media mail shipping.
Then offer free shipping on my listing.
Buy the shipping label at the post office.
Then upload the tracking number to EBay.
(Or if it's just one CD, is First Class cheaper?)
Thanks for advice

1st Class with tracking online is $3.01-$3.49 depending upon distance.
You can get your label/tracking # anyplace you want to, and upload.
MM not available is supposedly a temp issue.

eBay does still offer the option to purchase Media Mail postage in categories for eligible items. So if you list in Music, CDs you should find it available.
MM would always be cheaper than First Class.
Whether you offer free shipping or charge for it isn't connected to where you purchase the postage.
IF it turns out that you can't purchase your MM postage through eBay, then you can purchase MM postage at the PO counter or through PayPal and then enter the tracking number in your transaction. You won't get a "black mark" if you do it within your stated handling time.

You can list your CD's for any price you want. You can list them with 'free shipping' or a certain amount- ebay does not care how you do it.
As posted by the previous poster, you can purchase your label anywhere (other websites, in person etc.) and then you simply have to mark item as 'shipped' and give the tracking number if one is assigned.

Too late to edit.

I have bought several CD's over the last few months with first class shipping for around $2.50-$3.00
That's in the jewel case within a padded envelope.
I am good with that. Always post clearly you combine shipping.
Lots of folks are asking stupid amounts for average stuff, don't go there.
