Question about delivery address

Recently I ordered 2 items on ebay however I accidently purchased the item with the wrong shipping address. Thus, I quickly messaged the seller to ask them to change the address and they sent me a message back saying the changes have been noted. Fast forward a few days and I receive a notification from ebay that my item has been shipped. However on the shipping description my delivery address still hasn't changed. So my question is whether this is just a visual thing where you can't change your delivery address after purchase however the seller can just ship it to another address when he posts it.

Question about delivery address

You need to notify the seller immediately.

My ebay > Purchase history > More actions > Contact seller

The seller needs to send to the SHIP TO address attached to the Paypal payment. You should have clicked on the CHANGE link when you saw the wrong address.

The seller may refund your payment, and then you repay and this time change the SHIP TO address.

If it is too late and the package is on its way, file a CHANGE OF ADDRESS with the post office so the package can be forwarded to the correct address. If the package is returned to the seller, you will need to repay to reship if you still want the item.

Question about delivery address

As you suspected, the seller can’t change the address that shows on the  purchase once it has been paid for but they can change the address when they ship it.

Just adding to this.  The only way that you could know whether or not the address change went through is to (a) confirm with the seller that they indeed changed the address, or (b) wait until the package arrives.
