So - eBay just sent out the following message:

Paying for shipping labels is now even easier

Purchase USPS, UPS, and FedEx labels on eBay worry-free. Beginning October 15th, you can use your processing, available, and on-hold funds to purchase USPS shipping labels for the items you sell. If your funds awaiting payout aren’t sufficient to cover the full cost of the label(s), eBay will charge the remaining balance to your on-file payment method, such as your preferred credit card or linked bank account. More information about purchasing and using shipping labels is available in the Help Hub.

To purchase labels with funds awaiting payout, choose Pending payouts under the Select how to pay section in the eBay Labels prompt. You may continue to pay for labels with PayPal, as well.

Basically, what they are saying is that the current method of purchasing a shipping label is CHANGING. Ebay will no longer front the cost of shipping labels until your payment clears as they have been doing, even though they REQUIRE you to ship your items before the payment clears or else you lose your TRS status. How is this helpful?

I agree! Its not helpful. Now we cant use processing or pending payments to purchase shipping labels. I was told this by 2 cs reps tonight

I use my processing/pending funds all the time to purchase labels.

My available funds just show negative until the payment processes.

I was able to use my pending/ processing amount before last night too. But does not work anymore. Ive checked around the community posts on this subject and its happening to other people too. Someone mentioned they were told its a software issue .

Another thread (maybe more) going on this.

Suggestion is to check each, and every time when printing a label to be sure that the box is checked for the desired source of the shipping label payment.

Some users are experiencing a situation where in the past they had selected "pending payments" , and the setting is not staying on that. It flops back over to PP, and if the backup for PP is the "checking account" that is used for eBay then the payment is coming from there.
