Product rejected by german duties

The product was rejected by German duties, who sent it automatically back to the seller.Seller can't buy a Return Address Label, and I can't send it back because the duties never gave the purchased product to me. What can I do to get my money back?

What was it and why was it rejected?

The seller should ethically issue a refund when he gets it back.

Depending on the circumstances you might to be able to  file an Item Not Received claim. Failing that, you should be able to file a claim with Paypal for the same reason.

But it is entirely different if you bought something that is illegal in your country (NAZI memorabilia for example)

Start a return request after tracking shows delivered back to the seller. Then either your seller can click Refund, or you can click Ask eBay to step in to get your refund.

Why a return request?  Item was not delivered so I would file INR dispute.  The return of the item by German Customs could take months.
