Problem with package

So I bought a item and the seller claimed they sent it out like Monday. It arrived in town an hour away yesterday. UPS driver pulls up in front of my house and it said out for delivery. He sat for awhile as I waited by the truck then starts to drive away. Yelling out the window I dont have your package which  I thought was odd for him pulling up to my house. Today it says it has to be delivered another time. I called  UPS and the robot said there's a problem with it to fill out a claim.  Didn't contact seller however their feedback claims people complaining about this. Should I just file a did not get and ask for a refund?

As a seller yourself, haven't you ever experienced any delays or misscans of the items you've sold and shipped?

If a post office along the way misdirects one of your packages (for example) going from New Mexico to Illinois by way of Georgia, wouldn't you be upset if your buyer blamed you for sending it to the wrong state? Or if you mailed a package and instead of scanning it as arriving at the "origin facility" they mistakenly showed it as "delivered" to your own zip code, how would you feel if the buyer accused you of scamming? (I actually had a misscan showing as delivery to me on the evening I sent out a package. It self-corrected in about 24 hours but my buyer didn't get stressed.)

 

Stuff happens and it's possible that the package is lost, misdelivered or took some other detour but the seller can't claw it back.

Problem with package

If you have opened an item not received case and the item doesn't arrive and the seller doesn't refund, ebay will a force the seller to refund you. I believe that the seller usually has 3 days to refund you if the item hasn't been delivered although in some cases, ebay will extend that time. Either way, you will get a refund or the item.

Problem with package

I did supposively the seller put a hold on my package, in other words UPS info on package says me the receiver requested that the package be put on hold until further notice. I have done no such thing, and the robot can't remove this request because it doesn't compute understand remove hold on package. I have to fill out a claim etc to receive package which to me is **bleep**.

Problem with package

Putting a hold on packages is not okay though, so buyer has to file a claim to receive it.
