Has anyone else noticed that not all PayPal transactions update eBay with the tracking number? We do ALL of our shipping through PayPal (whether it be eBay or our webstore) and to be honest, we rely upon the PayPal-eBay system to provide the proper tracking numbers to eBay when we cut the label. We have enough to do that we don't need to have the additional task of going to eBay and checking that the tracking information is properly updated by PayPal. We ship same day or next business day for just about all of our sales and once an order is shipped, we send the customer a shipping confirmation email with the tracking number, date shipped, serial numbers, etc., to the customer so we know every one of our customers gets the tracking information in a timely fashion. Thus, we really don't pay any attention to eBay's "past due" stuff as it simply has no impact on our business. But I mention all this because we do appreciate the fact that some sellers on eBay rely on that auto-updating re tracking information to inform their customers and so they need to monitor eBay closely to ensure that this information is being properly sent to eBay by PayPal.
No idea who - eBay or PayPal - is responsible for getting this information from PayPal to eBay, but I hope both eBay and PayPal will take responsibility and determine what the problem is and get it fixed quickly!
