Hi,
Here is my case. I always ship with tracking which means air mail option. Due to corona virus I will not risk my own health and health of my family just to go to post office (only one office open in our district due to restrictions) to send with tracking and air mail. So I use postbox to send orders to avoid direct contact with many people.
And since I ship with prepaid postage label, only option is to send with regular post which means much longer delivery time (and yes I changed delivery time in listing already). That means that my shipments are not marked as tracked delivery and my ebay seller status will not be TOP RATED as I have absolutely no option to send every day and to send with tracking without risking my own health (which I will not do!).
So yes Corona is effecting eBay and term of sales if you want it or not and eBay should take some action.
How to resolve?

I ship from home via USPS and always have tracking provided through my eBay labels.
Yesterday's 'memo' stated... In supporting our sellers, we will stay in close contact with our service carriers and will extend seller protections should services become interrupted.
That will cover you if they have problems; adjusting your handling time will help you in the mean time.

I only visit the Post Office if it's absolutely necessary. Just ship from home if possible. The last time I visited the PO
it was 4 yrs ago.

What are you proposing?

OP is in Austria, not sure if USPS does porch pick up there.
To the OP- throw a mask on or wrap a towel/rag around nose/mouth and take to shipper.
