According to the Washington Post, Trump is seriously considering privatizing the USPS. I am very, very, worried. Your thoughts?

Portions of it have been privatized for well over 100 years.
Railroads moved mail for over 100 years.
Airmail was almost entirely handled by private contractors.
Commercial airliners were used to move mail.
FedEx is USPS's largest air package contractor.
USPS uses many ground contractors ranging from giant trucking firm like J.B. Hunt to local contractors who bid on mail post office routes.
Rural mail carriers use their own vehicles. For many years a local postmaster ran the local post office out of part of their home as the town only had 150 people.
Nearly 2,800 post offices operating in local stores and other locations.
When postal services first reaches a new areas of the frontier the post office would often contract with a local stage coach stop, store or similar location as post office until the population warranted a official building.
Originally mail was only delivered from post office to post office. You could interject a little private enterprise into the matter is your home was located on a postal road by bribing the carrier to drop your mail off at your home on their regular route.
One of the oldest forms of private enterprise was the bribing of government officials to grant local postmaster appointments.

A few interesting recent news pieces about Britain's privatized mail service:

This would require changing the Constitution as USPS is granted a monopoly on First Class letters.

The US Postal service performs a vital national security function.
Sort of like the Federal Highway Administration.
The price for the delivery of regular mail CANNOT be placed out of reach for average Americans.
The chances that it will be privatized are virtually non-existent.
Mr. Trump has said a lot of things. But he's already faced some important defeats in the US Senate, and he is not even President yet.

My entire business model since I came out of high school in 1999 has been built on the "under 1lbs" USPS pricing tier. If that goes away I'm done for, and so are millions of other eBay sellers.

If somebody, does something, to USPS...and it works.
I'm good with that

Wasn't there a period somewhere in time when there was morning mail delivery and evening delivery mail delivery on the same day? How did the government manage that?
I notice post marks that state morning times and afternoon times...

Got bad news for you ! The libs. had nothing to do with USPS Pricing Tier! Nor do set the international shipping rates ,They are set up by the UPU = United Parcel Union in the UN .
