I recently sent out a package on March 24th using priority mail with expected delivery date March 27th. Since March 25th, the package has been sitting in the same location for 2 days. I called USPS today and the lady told me I had to wait 8-13 days to file a search for the package. I told her it was priority mail and she told me I had to wait, doesn't sound right. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

If your package hasn't been delivered seven days after it was shipped, you can file a missing mail claim. I did that with a Priority Mail package that I mailed on 3/10 but hadn't moved in over a week at the time I filed the claim. Five hours after filing the missing mail search, the package received a new scan. Today (3/27) it finally showed as "out for delivery", a package mailed from eastern Iowa to southern Alabama. I wouldn't be concerned about a package that has only sat for two days.
