Printed a bunch of USPS labels for 11/12/18, then realized Post Office is closed. Problem?

Usually Ebay will not allow labels to be printed for shipment on a postal holiday, but this time, it did.  I just realized that, while Veteran's Day is today, it is observed as a holiday tomorrow and the Post Office will be closed.  I have 6 packages all set to go with labels showing 11/12/18 as the mailing date.  Will that be okay when I bring them in on Tuesday, or will they make me cancel all of those and redo them?

OP addendum:  Also, I think I only have 48 hours to cancel a label, which means some will be past that time by Tuesday morning.  What a mess.  It always takes such a long time to get reimbursed by USPS, too.

Drop them in the collection bin today or tomorrow.   Then sit down and have a cool beverage.

Sounds good, but they're too big to fit in any box outside the PO.  Maybe I'll still have a cool beverage, though.

I just spoke to customer service and i will have to call back when the defects hit to have them all removed. I printed 8 labels myself before I realized it was a PO holiday ...

I'm hoping they catch it in the system before all those defects hit, and there will be thousands of people who are affected, but we probably have better odds of winning one of the Powerball jackpots.

I also printed several labels over week-end for Monday shipping. Noticed it, but figured ebay

knew what it was doing. It has NEVER before allowed a label to be printed on a holiday or Sunday date.

I'm going to drop them off tomorrow and hope I don't get any flack from post office. But I sure don't want all

the defects dings on  my dashboard for late shipping, not tracked soon enough, etc. Any word from Ebay on

how they plan to handle this? There must be 10s of thousands of packages like this.

Unless the ship by date on your seller dashboard also showed today, you shouldn't get any defects.  Your ship by date is what you have to meet and that isn't necessarily the same as the date on the label.

I printed a label for a purchase on Sunday using the classic eBay label flow.

The Monday the 12th (the holiday) came up as the default date, and I went ahead and printed it with that date and dumped it in the blue box.

(was hoping it might get magically picked up today like my Columbus Day one did, but as it's 8:30pm with no typical 6-7pm pickup scan showing, it looks like they decided to actually take today off)

The ship by date on the sold page for that item was Wed 11/14 (correct for my 2 day handling time for a Sunday sale)

The ship date on the label has nothing to do with the eBay ship by date (or shouldn't), but if eBay's code can't get presentation of valid shipping dates correct in the label flow*, confidence that something else isn't broken in the backend logic is not high. Never had any issues with this type of thing to date, but we shall see.

*It will probably turn out that it is just a glitch in the classic label flow code that they have never been able to fix, and will probably never get fixed now that the classic flow is destined for the scrapper (they need to get the new label flow working correctly first though grin)

OP back with update - No problem getting the packages scanned at the Post Office, so that's done.  I think I'm okay as far as any potential late shipment defects since I have two-day handling.  Nothing of mine should be considered late by shipping today.  I will be interested in what happens with people that have one-day or same-day handling, however.

I have one-day handling, As it turns out, there was no issue at all.

As the excerpt of tracking (below) will show, I printed the label on Sunday night, dropped it in the lobby box on Monday morning, and by lunchtime on Monday they had emptied the box, Accepted the package, and sent it on its way. By Monday evening it was already at the Origin Sort facility, and today it's on its way across the country:

Nov 13, 2018
05:21am
PROCESSED THROUGH USPS FACILITY
ELK GROVE VILLAGE, 60007

Nov 12, 2018

23:46pm
Arrived at USPS Regional Facility
ELK GROVE VILLAGE IL DISTRIBUTION CENTER

Nov 12, 2018

12:25pm
USPS in possession of item
MCHENRY, IL 60050

Nov 11, 2018

So not only was our post office operating at some level on Monday the 12th, but also the regional trucks were active for collections and delivery, and of course the sorting centers and above don't stop for most any holiday AFAIK.
